Brilliant Labs gets funding from Pokémon GO Creator
The Singapore-based Brilliant Labs recently announced it’s coming new product; Frame - a pair of lightweight AR glasses powered by a multimodal AI assistant called Noa.
These glasses have caught the attention of the Pokémon GO creator behind Niatic - the augmented reality platform behind games like Pokémon GO. John Hanke, the CEO invested undisclosed funds to Brilliant Labs.
Noa is able processing different AI capabilities including the voice command tested by the Brilliant Labs co-founder to generated and projected an answer in text onto the lenses.

The AR glasses - Frame will also be able to do the following;
Visual processing
Image generation
Translation
This is made possible by AI models like Perplexity AI’s Stable Diffusion, Open AI’s GPT-4 integrated into the Frame glasses.
The Fame glasses are available for preorder for $349, set to start shipping as from April. The price tag is similar to their previous hardware Monocle
HEALTHCARE
Bytedance partners with XRHealth to offer employees VR therapy benefits
The tech giant behind TikTok has partnered with XRHealth - a provider of spatial computing healthcare platform and therapeutic extended reality (XR) solutions to offer its employees virtual reality (VR) therapy benefits.
According to the company, ByteDance employees will have access to XRHealth’s physical, occupational, and behavioral therapies from the comfort of their homes or at ByteDance clinics.
“XRHealth is a solution of choice for corporate employees because employees have a higher rate of treatment plan adherence with our solution since it is fun, engaging, and convenient. High levels of treatment adherence also means that employees are healthier and happier, making them more productive at work.”
XRHealth stated the Bytedance employees will have access to on-demand treatment from their homes that is both immersive and engaging.
“ByteDance aims to provide our employees with meaningful and effective benefits. XRHealth’s Virtual Reality Therapy services allow our employees to conveniently access effective tools to improve their physical and mental health from the comfort of their homes. We are excited about the potential for this partnership.”

Brands betting on Vision Pro as a shopping channel
With the release of Apple Vision Pro, brands like Lowe’s ,Alo Yoga and many more hopped on the bandwagon to launch their native apps on VisionOS.
One goal in mind though - to get on the ground floor on online shopping via the Vision Pro. Here are some of these brands app on the spatial computing headset.
Lowe’s - released a home improvement experience on the device dubbed Lowe’s Style Studio.

E.L.F Cosmetics - released an app Your Best E.L.F where users can play games as well as shop an assortment of 3D beauty products.
Alo Yoga - launched Alo Sanctuary, an immersive shopping and meditation app that lets people meditate in outdoor environments and shop the brand’s products in 3D.
Although the apps are free, users can buy products within using Apple Pay.
