Disney investing $1.5 billion in Epic Games
Epic, the gaming giant behind games like Fortnite and Unreal Engine will be building Disney games like they are doing for Lego.
According to Forbes, CEO of Disney, Bob Iger announced the deal in a CNBC interview.
“In our new relationship with Epic Games, we’re creating a transformational games and entertainment universe that integrates Disney’s world-class storytelling into Epic’s cultural phenomenon Fortnite, enabling consumers to play, watch, create, and shop for both digital and physical goods.
This marks Disney’s biggest entry ever into the world of video games, and offers significant opportunities for growth and expansion.”

However, there is one downside to this, you will not be able charge your Meta Quest cause the same port is being used for the USB.

Ubisoft is disappointment with Assassin Creed VR sales
The Founder and CEO of Ubisoft; Yves Guillimot has called the Assassin Creed Nexus VR sales ‘disappointing and has called that they will not invest heavily in VR now.
“We have been a bit disappointed by what we were able to achieve on VR with Assassin’s Creed.
It did okay, and it continues to sell, but we thought it would sell more, so we are not increasing our investment on VR at the moment, because it needs to take off.
We have been very impressed by what Apple came up with, and we think it’s fantastic hardware, but we continue to look at this VR business as something that we have to look at but not invest too much in, until it grows enough.”
