Zuck throws shade on Apple Vision Pro
Meta CEO, Mark Zuckerberg shared his takes after trying the Vision Pro - comparing with Quest 3, and of course a direct sales pitch for the Meta Quest.
In his Instagram page, Zuck gave his verdict;
“I don’t just think that Quest is the better value, I think Quest is the better product, period.”
Zuck highlights that he was filmed though the Quest 3 passthrough, and detailed the following differences;
Quest 3 weighs 120 grams less making it more comfortable to wear for longer.
Quest’s option of physical hand controllers and hand tracking for input is better.
Quest is like ‘seven times less expensive ‘
Even through Zuck has taken a direct shot on Apple Vision Pro, embarking the headset wars, its the game of endurance that will endure.

L'Oréal's sees 150% increase in VR try-ons
The beauty giant L'Oréal has seen an increased uptake in adoption of VR try-ons. It consumers are seeking to out mixed reality technologies that bring real-world-like immersion to online shopping.
'“ If I just take what I call the services, so like the virtual try-ons of our products, which we do through our ModiFace start-up in Canada, we’ve had over 100 million sessions of digital try-ons in 2023 versus 40 in ’22.So, it’s augmenting. It’s becoming part of consumers’ habit.”

Meta Quest 3 - breathtaking aquarium
A redditor recently shared an impressive virtual aquarium created via Meta Quest3. A visual shared on virtualreality Subreddit show that within the footage, CraditzBlitz can be shown swapping out boring doors and cupboards for windows that look out onto a serene underwater world.
Meanwhile, the incredibly fitting track ‘Aquatic Ambience’ from the Donkey Kong Country OST can be heard playing in the background.
